Yes! We have a private dock that you can tie your boat to while you are using the property. Although the dock has two boat lifts, we are not allowed to permit guests to use the lifts due to insurance liabilities.
When bringing a boat, we recommend only bringing boats designed for shallow water as the depth at the end of the dock can get as shallow as 1 foot deep during an extremely low tide. Be sure to check the local tide tables for high and low tides each day and make sure to take into consideration that the tides change in the sound approximately 3 to 6 hours after the ocean tide times.
Yes! There is a Dollar General grocery store a short 5 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the house. They sell just about anything you may need in a pinch such as milk, eggs, frozen dinners, produce, and lots of dry goods. There is also a Publix and Food Lion within 5 miles of the house at the Emerald Plantation shopping center.

Yes! You can swim off of the dock, although water shoes are HIGHLY recommended as we do have oysters all around the shallow areas near the seawall. Much like any other natural body of salt water there will be local wildlife as well. The occasional jellyfish or stingray have been known to pass by the end of the dock as well as shrimp and other fish. The water at the end of the dock at high tide is around 4 feet deep and 1 foot deep at low tide.
